Kinect 3D Face Scanning Processing SketchPublished by admin on Thu, 17/05/2012 - 1:02pm
Javier Gracia Carpio has developed another cool little Processing Kinect hack. This time involving 3D object recreation. As most of you already know, RGBdemo allows you to pull off similar functionality but this sort of thing hasn't been done using Processing - as far as I know...
As gracious as always, Mr Carpio has released his code for us all to check out over at openprocessing.org/user/16300. It's not there yet as he still wants to clean the code up a little bit but keep checking if you're interested in taking his 3D face scanning software for a spin!
Made with Processing (processing.org) and a Kinect w/ the following libraries:
- simple-openni (code.google.com/p/simple-openni)
- controlP5 (sojamo.de/libraries/controlP5)
- hemesh (hemesh.wblut.com/)
