Motion Capture

Jomario Murta submitted a great writeup pertaining to his markerless, point cloud generated reference method for producing animations and MoCap. Here's what he had to say about it:
As you probably know, already exists some motion capture softwares using the kinect on windows, they are quite interesting once the capture is made without needing marks, and it can be exported to many compatible formats, like the BVH and the FBX.

Not much to say here aside from the fact that you can do some really great work using a kinect with Unity. If anything this is just a showcase piece in terms of what you can achieve in Unity with a Kinect sensor. The fact that the model is able to pick up boxes makes it seem as if the Unity Kinect wrapper example Skeleton was used as a base model and was improved upon significantly.

This handy little package will allow you to easily install the OpenNI and drivers and Brekel Motion Capture software in one clean, easy swoop. I've also included the Motion Builder plugin and the stand alone version of Brekel Kinect.
